长城词典·桃林口桃林口在卢龙县城北去34公里处的青龙河边，相传建于明万历年间，因为周边漫山遍野的桃花而得名，此处长城的关口即为桃林口关。当年蒙古军队经常由此袭扰，因此桃林口的关城规模宏大。今桃林口关已经不复存在，仅留残迹。 Great Wall dictionary·Taolin KouTaolin Kou is located 34 kilometers north of Lulong County along Qinglong River. It was built in the Ming Dynasty when Emperor Shen Zong was in power （between 1573 and 1620）. It gets its name because of the peach flowers （Tao means peach） all over the mountains and the plains. The Mongolian troops used to raid from this barrier thus the Great Wall in this section used to be grand. Yet，its magnitude is hardly seen today except for some remnants.
