长城词典·神威楼神威楼位于唐山迁安白羊峪水关西侧，据说曾是戚继光的军事指挥所。楼子不大，并没有骑在长城正中，而是“挂靠”在长城的外边。楼子的建筑设计非常精巧，把战斗的功能发挥到了极致。除却门窗外，此楼少有木料，更无片瓦，但砖制的仿木结构惟妙惟肖，更加牢固。刻有“神威楼”三字的匾额面南镶嵌在楼子的正中，左上款“游击将军张世忠题”，右下款“万历丙申仲夏吉立”。券门的对面砌有影壁，有一块记事碑镶嵌其上。 Great Wall dictionary·Shenwei TowerLocated on the west side of White Goat Valley in Qianan County and said to be the command post of Qi Jiguang （1528-1588，general from the Ming Dynasty，well known to Chinese people as a national hero），the tower is not big but very special. “Hanging” on the side of Great Wall instead of striding over it the tower is exquisitely designed with a strong emphasis on its defensive function. Besides its window and door，the architect has used few woods but a wood-like brick structure which helps to enhance its solidness. In the middle of the tower stands a stele on which it is written Shenwei Tower （Shenwei means Invincible Might）. On its left column it is written “Inscribed by General Zhang Shizhong”，on its right column it is written “Auspiciously Set Up in the Summer of 1536”.
